Rules & Guidelines

1. Eligibility

• Open to photographers worldwide

• All ages welcome

• Amateur and professional photographers may apply

• You must be the original creator of the submitted work

2. What You Can Submit

We accept photography in all styles and genres, including but not limited to:

• Portrait

• Fashion / Editorial

• Street Photography

• Documentary

• Landscape / Nature

• Fine Art

• Architecture

• Still Life

• Conceptual / Experimental

All submissions must be original photographs taken by you.

3. Image Requirements

Accepted file types

• JPG or PNG

Quality

• High-resolution strongly recommended

• Images must be clear and properly exported

• No heavy compression or pixelated uploads

Color + Editing

• Both color and black & white are allowed

• Basic editing is allowed (cropping, lighting adjustments, color correction)

• AI-generated images are not accepted

4. Submission Limits

• Each entry may include multiple images (if your submission form allows a set)

• You may submit more than once, but each entry must be submitted separately

• Re-submitting the same images multiple times does not increase chances of selection

5. Publication & Recognition

Selected photographers will receive:

• A feature in the Emerging Artists Magazine Digital Issue

• Editorial exposure across our official platforms

• A credited feature with your name and links to your photography page/portfolio

• The opportunity to be considered for future Emerging Artists Magazine features and special opportunities

Optional (if you want to include):

• A “Winner” badge or digital certificate

• Social media spotlight post(s)

• An Emerging Artists Magazine photographer highlight

6. Copyright, Ownership & Usage Rights

Photographers keep 100% full rights to their images.

By submitting, you are only granting Emerging Artists Magazine permission to:

• Feature your work in our digital magazine (if selected)

• Share your image(s) on our official website and social media for promotional purposes related to the competition, always with credit

We do not sell your photos.

We do not license your work to any third parties.

We do not use your images for anything outside of Emerging Artists Magazine’s competition and feature purposes.

7. Credits & Tagging

If selected, you will always be credited using the name provided in your submission.

We may also tag and include:

• Your Instagram / TikTok handle

• Website or portfolio links

• Any photography page links you submit

8. Selection Process

All submissions are reviewed by our team.

Entries are selected based on:

• Visual impact

• Composition and originality

• Quality and clarity

• Storytelling and emotion

• Artistic voice and creativity

Not being selected does not reflect lack of talent. We receive many strong submissions every month and we truly appreciate every entry.

9. Notification Timeline

• Selected photographers will be contacted by email

• If selected, you may be asked to provide:

– high-resolution versions of your image(s)

– a short bio (optional)

– links to your social media and/or portfolio

10. Disqualification

Submissions may be disqualified if they include:

• Stolen or reposted work

• AI-generated images

• Watermarks covering the image

• Hate speech, graphic violence, or explicit sexual content

• Content that violates copyright or ownership rules

11. Respectful Content Policy

We welcome creative and expressive photography, but we do not accept:

• Harassment or hateful imagery

• Exploitative or abusive content

• Non-consensual imagery

• Content that violates the dignity of others

12. Agreement to Terms

By submitting to this competition, you confirm that:

• You created the work and own the rights to it

• You have permission from anyone shown in the photo (if applicable)

• You agree to the rules and guidelines listed above
