1. Eligibility
- Open to writers worldwide, 18 years or older.
- Entries must be original and written in English.
- Both produced and unproduced scripts are accepted, but ownership must belong solely to the writer(s).
2. Submission Requirements
- Short scripts only — 5 to 30 pages in length.
- Accepted file formats: PDF only.
- Title page must include the script title and writer’s name (contact info optional).
- Multiple entries are allowed, but each must be submitted separately.
3. Evaluation Criteria
- Originality and creativity of concept.
- Strength of story structure, character development, and dialogue.
- Clarity of vision and emotional impact.
4. Grant Award
- One winner will receive a $10,000 grant to support the development or production of their short film.
- The grant must be used toward the film’s creative development, pre-production, or festival submission costs.
5. Rights & Permissions
- Writers retain full ownership of their work.
- By submitting, entrants grant permission for their name and project title to be publicly announced if selected.
6. Deadlines & Fees
- All submissions must be received by the posted deadline on the official entry page.
- Entry fees are non-refundable.
7. Disqualification
- Scripts containing plagiarism, hate speech, or AI-generated writing will be disqualified.
- Incomplete submissions will not be considered.
8. The deadline for this competition is January 20th 2026. Announcements will be made March 1st 2026.
